Temperature settings (creativity)

Temperature is a fundamental parameter that controls how creative or precise the assistant will be in its responses. It is represented by a slider that goes from "Precise" to "Creative".

What is temperature

Temperature controls the "randomness" of artificial intelligence responses:

  • Low temperature (Precise): More coherent, predictable and focused responses
  • High temperature (Creative): More varied, creative and surprising responses

When to use low temperature (Precise)

Choose more precise settings when:

  • You provide technical or specific information
  • You answer FAQ with standardized responses
  • You manage customer support with defined procedures
  • You want consistency in similar responses
  • You handle sensitive data or critical information

When to use high temperature (Creative)

Choose more creative settings when:

  • You want more conversational and natural responses
  • The assistant needs to generate creative content
  • You manage more informal chats
  • You want variety in responses to similar questions
  • The assistant needs to be more "human" in interactions

Practical examples

Low temperature (Technical FAQ)

Question: "How can I reset my password?"

Answer: "To reset your password: 1) Go to the login page 2) Click on 'Forgot password' 3) Enter your email 4) Check your mailbox"

High temperature (Conversational assistant)

Question: "How can I reset my password?"

Answer: "No problem! I'll help you right away with the password. It's something that happens often, don't worry. Here's what you need to do..."

Configuration tips

  • Start from the center: A medium value is often the best choice
  • Test different settings: Try various temperatures with the same questions
  • Consider the context: Technical support = more precise, friendly chat = more creative
  • You can always change: Temperature can be changed at any time

Important note: Temperature only affects how the AI formulates responses, it doesn't change the information it knows from your knowledge base.
